Burks Garners 2026 Preseason All-Conference Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane volleyball senior Avery Burks was named a 2026 American Conference Volleyball Preseason All-Conference selection for the third consecutive season. Burks also earned the honor ahead of the 2024 and 2025 campaigns for the Green Wave.
The outside hitter picked up the recognition after landing first team all-conference honors last season. Burks led the offensive attack for the Wave during the 2025 campaign recording 440 kills – averaging 4.19 per set – and totaling 474.5. She ranked first in the American in total kills, points, total attacks, and attacks per set.
Beyond her impact offensively for Tulane, Burks finished second on the team in digs with 406 and fifth in total blocks with 28. Across her 27 matches played last season she recorded 15 double-doubles combining kills and digs.
Entering her fourth season for the Green Wave the Gilbert, Arizona, product has tallied 1,175 points, 1,078 kills, 755 digs, and 114 total blocks. Burks ranks eighth in program history averaging 3.38 kills per set.
Tulane opens the 2026 regular season at home hosting the Green Wave Classic inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. The Wave will begin against North Dakota State on Friday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
