Prep: A four-year letterman at James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, Illinois…played in the outfield for the Cougars…helped lead his team to a 20-15 overall record and a second-round appearance in the state playoffs by hitting .369 with 10 doubles, five triples, eight home runs, 36 RBI, 38 runs and 27 stolen bases…earned Second Team All-State honors, All-Northwest Suburban First Team honors and All-Mid-Suburban Baseball League Conference First Team honors as a senior…earned MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week for the Great Lakes Region on May 11 of his senior season…picked up All-Northwest Suburban First Team honors as a junior after hitting .389 with nine doubles, six triples, 17 RBI and 19 runs…owns the single-season school record in home runs, triples and stolen bases, while owning the second-most hits, RBI and runs in a single season...also lettered one year as a shooting guard/small forward for the basketball team…off the field, was a member of the National Honor Society while picking up Illinois State Scholar honors as well as the Prairie State Achievement Award…played summer ball for Team DeMarini and the Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team…named a 2015 Perfect Game Central Region Honorable Mention honoree…picked up 2014 Perfect Game Underclass Honorable Mention honors…was a Perfect Game BCS All-Tournament Team member in 2015 in addition to earning Perfect Game WWBA 17U National Championship All-Tournament Team honors in 2015.
