John McNamara enters his second season as a the student manager for the Tulane Green Wave baseball program.

McNamara catches bullpens for the Green Wave pitching staff while assisting the coaches with a variety of day-to-day tasks.

McNamara comes to Tulane after playing at George C. Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama, where he hit .295 for coach Mackey Sasser - a former Major League catcher. Prior to that, McNamara redshirt at Jacksonville University.

A native of Deerfield Beach, Florida, McNamara was a three-year letterwinner at cacher for St. Thomas Aquinas, earning honorable mention all-district honors as a senior from the Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald. During his sophomore campaign, the Raiders made the Florida State Final Four.
