Dr. Green's training in his field of specialization began at the University of North Florida (Bachelor of Education and Master's in Education with emphasis in Teaching/Coaching and Sport Psychology). He earned his Doctorate of Education/Social Science of Sport (Sport Psychology) at the University of Northern Colorado (1977-1980).
Consequently, he began his career at the University of Hawaii-Hilo (1982-1985) where he served as pitching coach and faculty member in the Department of Physical Education.
Since moving to New Orleans, he has been a full-time faculty member at Tulane University. In addition to his teaching load in the current Health and Wellness Program, he has also worked with high school, collegiate, international, and professional athletes in a wide variety of sports, baseball being the primary focus.
He has been consulting with the Tampa Bay Rays since 2010.
