Adam Miller was hired as associate director of strategic communications at Tulane University in November 2016 and is the primary media liaison for the Green Wave's men's basketball and tennis programs.
Additionally, Miller coordinates all media credentials, archiving processes and heads the office's student assistantship program. As a member of the external unit he serves as the publisher and editor the department's academic annual report.
Prior to Tulane, Miller worked as assistant director of media relations at East Carolina University for over three years from September of 2013 to November of 2016 as the primary contact for women's basketball, women's soccer and both tennis programs, while handling tertiary football responsibilities. In previous years, he was the primary contact for the Pirates' softball and cross country programs
Before East Carolina, Miller was an athletics communications assistant at NC State for the 2012-13 season as the primary contact for the women's tennis, track and field/cross country and rifle programs and secondary contact for the Wolfpack's women's basketball team. He also provided assistance to the football and men's basketball programs during his stint.
Miller spent the 2011-12 season at Duke University as a sports information staff assistant, where he was the primary contact for the third-ranked women's tennis program that reached the NCAA semifinals. He was also an official scorer and provided video assistance on game days for the women's soccer team, while also helping the football and men's and women's basketball programs with publications and other media-related initiatives.
Miller began his career as a sports information intern at Marist College in the spring of 2011, and was also a part of the athletics communications staff during his time as an undergraduate at Saint Leo University.
A native of Newburgh, N.Y., Miller earned his bachelor's degree in sport business from Saint Leo in 2011. He is a member of the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
In July 2020, Miller married the former Sarah Grodsky, and the couple resides in Metairie with their dog, Brandy.
