2022-23 Track Season: Competed in eight meets between indoor and outdoor season…Placed ninth in the 100m at the Strawberry Relays (11.70), ninth in the 200m (23.81) and seventh in the shot put (10.98m)...Took 11thh in the Decathlon at the AAC Outdoor Championships with 4350 points.
2022 Cross Country: Did not compete.
Before Tulane: Attended Lane Tech High School in Chicago …Competed in shot put, discus, long jump, and the 55m dash under coach Kristopher Roof… Helped his team to become City Champions from 2018-2021…Also was chosen as varsity captain his senior year…Named All-Section in shot put and discus in 2021… Awarded with All-City Award in indoor and outdoor shot put and outdoor discus the same year…Holds a career best of 43.5ft and 118.5 ft…The highlight of his high school career was winning the Indoor City Championship in 2021 by more than five feet …Was also a member of the football team at Lane Tech where played defensive end and outside linebacker…Assisted his team in making it to the semifinals in the Chicago City Playoffs and winning Lane Tech’s first playoff game in over 12 years … Also had some non-athletic achievements during his time in high school as he was a member of the Lane Tech Debate Team in which he was awarded 7th and 11th place speaker…Also was a Superb Owl Tournament quarter finalist, a two-time Roberto Clemente semifinalist, and Lane Tech Invite semifinalist.
Personal: Son of Francisco Roman Jr. and Latoyia Roman…Has two siblings an older brother Jaylen who passed, and a younger sister Delilah…Enjoys drawing, skateboarding, and Chicago History…Some interesting facts are that he goes by Cisco instead of his birth name…His father was also a collegiate athlete as a linebacker at Concordia University… Something nobody knows about him s that he is a level two kayak and paddle board instructor…After Tulane, he plans to become a child behavioral psychologist and open a practice on the South Side of Chicago.
