Tulane Set for Vanderbilt Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tulane track and field program travels to Nashville, Tennessee, this weekend for the Vanderbilt Invitational. The event takes place at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility and is hosted by the namesake Commodores. Both days of the meet will be streamed on SEC Network +, and live results can be found here.
The two-day event begins tomorrow with the first event, the heptathlon 60 meters hurdles, starting at 9:00 a.m. Heptathlon events follow, and the pentathlon begins at 9:20 a.m. with its events following as well. Field events start at 10:00 a.m. with the weight throw open, and running events pick up at 4:00 p.m. with the 600 meters. Saturday's schedule opens with the conclusion of the heptathlon events at 8:30 a.m. Field events start up at 9:00 a.m. with the high jump, and running events begin at 12:00 p.m. with the 60 meters prelims.
The Green Wave will be represented by a total of 35 athletes, 11 men and 24 women. This is the largest contingent of Tulane athletes out of the three meets thus far.
Tulane is off next weekend before returning to action with a split weekend to conclude January. The Wave will participate in both the Lenny Lyles Invitational, hosted by Louisville, and the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University. Both events take place on January 30 and 31.
