'Caitlin is a hard-nosed and very smart basketball player. She[apos]s one of those people who keeps a basketball team together and makes it click,' head coach Lisa Stockton said. 'She[apos]s been very successful in her high school career, playing at Mt. Carmel High School for Mary Ann Marino. They have a system that distributes the ball and she[apos]s very unselfish in that system.'

Cleveland has earned All-District honors as a freshman, sophomore and junior and was named team MVP twice... She was a preseason all-Metro selection her senior year... Her head coach, Mary Ann Marino played at Tulane under coach Stockton from 1992-1997...A three-sport athlete she was also was a member of the track & field team, holding the school record in the shot-put, and an All-District volleyball player... Off the court, was an honor roll member, National Merit Semifinalist and AP Scholar... Played AAU ball with the Kenner Angels where she won two national championships and advanced to the final four in four other seasons... Played for former Angels head coach Alan Frey, who is now an assistant coach at Tulane... AAU teammate of Tulane teammate Tiffany Aidoo.

Daughter of Joey Cleveland and the late Carl Cleveland... Born on January 30, 1989... Intends to major in English... Now the fourth Tulane student-athlete from her family: Her father Carl and her great-grandfather Carl played football at Tulane and her grandfather Murray Woodward played basketball at Tulane.
