Donnie Stith is joined the Green Wave as an assistant coach in 2025, coming from seven seasons at Howard University. In the 2021-22 season, he helped the Bison win their first MEAC Tournament Title since 2001. He also holds 8 high school and AAU coaching seasons. Stith will enter his second season with Tulane in 2026-27.
Tulane was 11-20 during Stith’s first season back in Uptown in 2025-26. Mecailin Marshall earned American Freshman of the Year honors and was joined on the league’s all-newcomer team by Kanija Daniel. Tulane ranked second in the conference and 78th nationally with 38.2 bench points per game. The Wave was third in the league for both fouls per game (16.7) and three-point percentage defense (28.8). Dyllan Hanna finished third in the conference for blocking at 1.39 per game, ranked 89th nationally.
Stith is a Tulane alum, having played men’s basketball for the Wave from 2004-08. He also played three years professionally overseas in Ireland, Austria, and Malaysia. At Tulane, Stith looks to emphasize development and contribute to a winning program with long term success.
