Over his three-year tenure at USC, Burke helped guide the Trojans to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Final Four (2017 and 2018) and one trip to the Elite Eight (2019). In addition, the Trojans captured 14 team victories and posted a staggering mark of 18 consecutive finishes in the top three from the spring of 2018 to the spring of 2019.
The Scotland native has also established a strong reputation of developing individual excellence during his time at USC, as he coached eight First Team PAC-12 All-Conference players and 10 All-Americans.
Burke began his Division I collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach for the Kansas State women’s golf team in the spring of 2014.
He helped the Wildcats post the top two team stroke averages in school history during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. He also coached four individual medalists, four Big 12 Players of the Month and one NCAA Regional qualifier during his time with the Wildcats.
Prior to his arrival in Manhattan, Kansas, the Wildcats owned a GolfStat.com ranking of 105. Upon his departure from KSU, Burke guided the program to a Top 40 ranking. He also helped guide the Wildcats to three team victories over his three-year tenure at KSU.
He joined Kansas State after three years working as the Director of Recruitment at United Sports USA, a company that assists NCAA Division I coaches of all sports with recruiting the top student-athletes from the United Kingdom and Europe. A partner who helped set up United Sports USA, Burke also previously worked at a similar organization called First Point USA Sport Scholarship Consultants.
Burke played collegiately at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where he graduated with a degree in Sports Management in 2007. He served as an assistant coach with Lindenwood’s men’s and women’s golf teams in 2008.
