Dan Jacobs joined Tulane Athletics in 2020 as Assistant Director and was promoted to Director, Academic Advising for Student-athletes in 2023.
In addition to his daily duties of working with students from the Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, and Football teams, Jacobs also serves as a member of the leadership team within Newcomb Tulane College Advising. Jacobs is responsible for managing and leading the operations of the Academic Services Center for Student Athletes as well as developing academic advising practices, policies, and procedures to support student-athlete success.
Prior to Tulane, Jacobs worked at the University of Virginia as an Athletic Academic Coordinator and at the University of Southern Mississippi as an Academic Counselor/Life Skills Coordinator.
Originally from Torrington, Connecticut, Jacobs earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Western New England University and Master of Education in Sport Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jacobs is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals.
