Jaimie Mills, MS, LAT, ATC joined Tulane University as an Athletic Trainer in August 2025, bringing a strong background in collegiate sports medicine and athlete care. She currently serves as the primary athletic trainer for Tulane’s Swimming & Diving programs.
Prior to joining Tulane, Mills spent four years at Furman University in Greenville, SC where she worked 3 years with the Volleyball and Women’s Tennis teams after completing a fellowship year covering Football and Softball. She has also served as a preceptor for High Point University. Her diverse experience across multiple sports has shaped a well-rounded, athlete-centered approach to care.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Mississippi State University where she was a student athletic training aid for Softball and Women's Basketball.
Mills then earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. During her graduate studies, she completed clinical rotations at the high school, D3, and D1 college level including immersive internships with Clemson Football during summer 2020 and the University of Tennessee Knoxville Football during spring of 2021 gaining valuable experience in high-performance athletic environments.
She holds a Master Dry Needling Level 1 certification and is committed to integrating evidence-based techniques into her treatment and recovery plans.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Stark, diving into a good book or journal, and hiking—though the trails are a bit harder to come by since relocating to New Orleans from the Carolinas.
