Olivia Fouty will serve as the new Director of Basketball Operations. Fouty comes to Tulane after serving as the Women’s Basketball Director of Operations at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She has worked at New Mexico Highlands, Hawai’i Pacific, and earned her MBA while serving as a Graduate Assistant at Wheeling University. Fouty had an impressive career as an athlete, playing basketball at Eastern Michigan, TAMU-CC, and professionally in Spain.
In her first season on staff, Fouty helped the TAMU-CC women's basketball team to its first-ever Southland Conference Tournament title and first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Fouty was an assistant coach at Hawai'I Pacific University in 2022-23, where she coached a WBCA and D2CAA All-America Honorable Mention and PacWest Player & Newcomer of the Year. From 2020-22, she served as an assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands. Fouty was a graduate assistant at Wheeling University where she earned her MBA.
She played in Spain professionally after spending a fifth year of eligibility at TAMU-CC where she was named an SLC All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Fouty earned her Bachelor's degree in communications and minored in business at Eastern Michigan University. She's second all-time in EMU history in career double doubles with 17 and helped lead the team to the MAC Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance as a sophomore. Between EMU and A&M-Corpus Christi, Fouty registered over 1,000 career points.
