Taylar Keene, a native of Oakland, California, was named a Case Manager for Tulane's Student-Athlete Welfare department in November of 2023.
Keene moved to New Orleans in 2014 to attend Dillard University. She graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health and then went on to attend Loyola University and graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the fall of 2022.
Prior to arriving at Tulane, Keene held positions as College Sucess Advisor at College Track New Orleans, a non-profit college readiness program and most recently, Juvenile Diversion Case Manager/Co-Coordinator in the Juvenile Division at the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office under DA Jason Williams.
Keene is excited to cultivate authentic and lasting relationships with student-athletes, while continuing to provide them with innovative and fresh mental skills. In addition to her primary role at Tulane, she is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana, where she is also clinician at a private practice, Solace Chateau.
