
Chad Sutter Selected in Major League Baseball Draft

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane's Chad Sutter was drafted by Major League Baseball's New York Yankees in the 23rd round on Thursday.
While at Tulane, Sutter left his mark on the record books as he belted 75 career home runs and recorded 285 RBI through four years, both school career records. The triple-crown holder, Sutter, hit .393 with 23 home runs and 87 RBI this past season and was named a Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball First Team All-American, as well as Conference USA Player of the Year.
Tulane posted a 48-17 record this season, advancing to the championship game of the NCAA's Auburn, Ala., Regional. The Green Wave won this season's Conference USA Tournament title, its third in the past four years.
