
Tulane Wins In Dramatic Fashion

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Watari Marsh rebounded a missed free throw and drove for a short jumper with 2.4 seconds remaining in Tulane's 64-63 victory over Memphis in a Conference USA game Wednesday night.
Memphis had taken a 63-62 lead on a slam dunk by Shannon Foreman wsith 2:03 remaining. Memphis' Shamel Jones then missed a free throw in the closing seconds and Marsh rebounded the missed shot to score the winning field goal.
The outcome left Tulane at 16-6 overall, 5-5 Conference USA and Memphis at 9-13, 2-7. Each team entered the game hoping to recover from back-to-back losses.
The outcome also left Tulane at 13-2 at home this season and Memphis 0-7 on the road.
Sterling Davis went 7-for-7 from the foul line to finish with 18 points and Dyland Osean had 13 to lead Tulane, which outshot Memphis by 14-2 on free throws.
Shannon Brown and Kelly Wise, each with 18 points, led Memphis.
