NEW ORLEANS - Tiffany Aidoo tied her career high with 13 points and set a new high in rebounds with seven as the Tulane women's basketball team outlasted Marshall Sunday afternoon, 61-56, at Fogelman Arena. Brittany Lindsey scored 12 points and Ashley Langford chipped in 11 points.
Langford became the fifth player in Conference USA to reach 500 career assists, doing so as just a junior. Tulane's all-time assist leader now has 501 in her career. In the second half, the Wave stretched the margin to 40-26, but the Herd held Tulane scoreless for over six minutes, pulling to within 40-34 with 9:28 remaining. But Alendra Brown caught a pass in traffic and scored inside to restore a eight-point lead.
Meagan Samis drained a three-pointer from the top of the key for Marshall, the Herd's first triple of the game, to pull within 45-41 with 6:25 to go. But Valicevic hit a pair of free throws and Langford completed a three-point play for a nine-point lead.

Her second free throw missed and Brittany Lindsey chased down the rebound in the corner, was fouled and hit a pair of free throws with 0.7 seconds left to seal the five-point win. Lindsey finished with eight rebounds on the afternoon.
Tulane shot just 26.3 percent in the second half, with five field goals, but scored 20 points from the free throw line on 26 attempts.
