Tulane Baseball Announces 2009 Fall Camp Dates

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane baseball team returns to the diamond for the 2009 Fall Camp beginning on Tuesday, October 6 at 2:15 p.m. at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. The 2009 Fall Ball schedule features 25 practice dates, including 13 intrasquad scrimmages, and will culminate with the Fall World Series, Nov. 4-8.
All practices/intrasquad scrimmages during the week day will begin at 2:15 p.m., while the majority of the weekend practices/scrimmages will begin at 1 p.m.
The Green Wave will have an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 17 following its annual St. Michael's Day festivities that morning. For the past 15 years, members of the Green Wave team and coaching staff have assisted elementary and junior high students of St. Michael's Special School - a New Orleans institute designed to help students with major learning difficulties which hinder their ability to achieve success in a regular class setting.
Tulane will host another community activity on Saturday, Oct. 31 with Scout Day on Halloween at Greer Field at Turchin Field at 10 a.m.
Fall Camp will conclude with the always exciting and popular Fall World Series, which features a five-game series. Game one will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 2:15 p.m. and will conclude with game five on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.
