Max Miller was the second Green Wave finisher for the sixth straight meet, dating back to the October 3 of last season at the Gulf Coast Stamped. Miller, a junior from Katy, Texas, finished 29th overall and has been one of the steadiest competitors for second year head coach Eric Peterson.
Mainguy was the third different runner to lead the team this season, as Brian Lozes was the lead runner in the opener at Georgia and Jordan Vance took the top spot at the Crimson Classic. The Olive and Blue placed tenth out of 17 teams at the 2009 Watson Ford Invitational and look to continue the trend of improvement from the LSU meet.

Rebecca Coady was the last Tulane runner to capture an individual crown (La. Tech Invitational, 2009) and second runner to finish for Tulane at the LSU Invitational. The senior placed eighth overall in a time of 21:29.09 to set a new PR. The Olive and Blue saw their biggest career improvement from senior Peggy Keplinger, who dropped nearly four-minutes off her previous career best with a 23:26.48 time on the 6K course.
The top five runners stayed the same for the Tulane for the third straight meet, with Whitrock, Coady and Katherine Crabtree claiming the top three spots in the last two meets.
