Overall thoughts on the game
"Offensively, we did some nice things. We used a lot of different lineups and that was our plan - to mix things up a little bit. Getting into foul trouble kind of hurt those rotations. I think Monroe played a really aggressive game. It was one of those things that you're not really sure how a team is going to play. I thought it was very physical tonight and they did some nice things. It's tough to win on the road right now, so this was a good win for us."
On facing one of the nation's best rebounding teams
"One thing we said to the team is they were fifth in the country in rebound margin. We felt like this was a big challenge for us because of where we've been...I think it was a big accomplishment for us to only lose it by one."
On Tulane getting great offensive production from the post players
"I hope that's what we can become. I hope we can be a team that whatever we need to do that night, we can go to. We felt that tonight that was working for us. We went to that. We rotated in our guards out a little more and tried to keep our posts a little rested. We felt like we could do that and we have some other options we can go to. Hopefully, that will make us a little more versatile."
On having five players with double-figure scoring totals
"Not only do we have five players in double figures, they're different players on different nights. You have Whitney and Turtle who are in there too, usually. I think that makes it a little more challenging guarding us. If one person is off or one person is guarded, another person can come through."
On converting 20-of-25 free throws against the Warhawks
"Our free throws hurt us the other night. This is more like the Tulane team that we're used to. We got a lot of free throws and when you step in and hit 80 percent of them, you can live with that."
