The Green Wave at 1-13 all-time against North Carolina. The series began in 1925 as Tulane fell to the Tar Heels, 36-28 in the Southern Conference Tournament in Atlanta. The Green Wave have never topped the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill, through three meetings there. The two teams last met in 1995 when current Tulane assistant coach Shammond Williams was a member of the Tar Heel team. The game was in Charlotte as part of the Diet Pepsi Tournament. Tulane's only win in the series came on Dec. 30, 1927 as the Green Wave won 20-19 in New Orleans.
LAST TIME OUT
The Green Wave returned to action after finals week to knock off Prairie View A&M, 63-49 in New Orleans. The game was the first of three this week for Tulane.
