Baseball Returns to the Practice Field Tuesday
Oct 16, 2017 | Baseball
NEW ORLEANS – After taking off four days for the university's fall break, Tulane baseball resumes fall workouts Tuesday at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
Â
The Green Wave scrimmaged twice last week, kicking off fall training in their second year under head coach Travis Jewett.
Â
"We want to play, just to compete," Jewett said. "We want to take the skills that we're trying to develop outside scrimmage times, and actually put them into a game situation and compete while we're doing it. We have the ability to do that this year with the numbers we have, and we're going to scrimmage as much as we possibly can."
Â
Tulane is back to training this week, practicing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, before holding scrimmages this weekend. The team practices at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and scrimmage at 3:40 p.m. Friday, 11:20 a.m. Saturday and 12:40 p.m. Sunday.
Â
All Tulane baseball fall practices are open to the public. Practice and scrimmage times are subject to change.
