Baseball Progress into Fourth Week of Fall Ball

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball will hold four scrimmages this week, as the Green Wave progress through fall workouts toward the Blue and Green World Series in November.

Tulane also held four scrimmages last week, as the Wave mimic a typical in-season schedule of four-game weeks with training sessions mixed in between games. In the fourth week of fall ball, the Green Wave will scrimmage Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and train on Tuesday and Thursday.

Wednesday's scrimmage is scheduled begin at 3:50 p.m. and go five innings. The team will scrimmage seven innings on Friday beginning at 3:40 p.m. and Saturday beginning at 9:40 a.m., and conclude the week with a seven-inning scrimmage at 12:10 p.m. Sunday. Tuesday and Thursday practices will begin at 3 p.m.

Fans attending Saturday morning's scrimmage are asked to enter and exit through the gate down the right field line, along Ben Weiner Drive. The main gate at home plate will not be open due to the football game at Yulman Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Tulane baseball fall practices are open to the public. Practice and scrimmage times are subject to change.

Fall workouts will culminate with the seven-game Blue and Green World Series, Nov. 10-19 at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
