Baseball Concludes Fall as Green Wins Angry Wave World Series

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball closed out fall workouts over the weekend, with the Green team claiming the inaugural Angry Wave World Series in seven games, clinching with a 2-0 victory on Sunday at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

With the series tied, 2-2, going into the final weekend, Green picked up a 4-2 win on Friday and White countered with a 5-3 victory on Saturday. In the deciding Game 7 Sunday, Green came away with a 2-0 win to clinch the series.
"When you take your one team, and you split it into two teams and get that kind of competition, I think it allows everybody to look at it from a holistic standpoint and think that if we put all this together on one team and in one dugout, we're going to be a pretty good team," Tulane head coach Travis Jewett said. "Now, we need to move forward, and we certainly have room for improvement, individually and collectively. We just have to make sure we stay humble and keep working hard. I think the competition that has established itself on this field has made a lot of players step up their games. We have some competitive depth that I'm proud of, and I just look forward to seeing them continue to grow."
