SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Tulane baseball is set to play its first road weekend series of the season at UC Santa Barbara Friday through Sunday at Caesar Uyeska Stadium.

All three games will be played in the afternoon, as the Green Wave (1-3) and Gauchos (1-3) face off at 2 p.m. PT/4 p.m. CT Friday and Saturday, and at 1 p.m. PT/3 p.m. CT Sunday. The game will be broadcast on 88.3 FM WRBH, and live stats can be found on www.TulaneGreenWave.com.

This series is part of a five-game road swing for Tulane, sandwiched between midweek road contests at Southeastern Louisiana (Feb. 21) and Southern Miss (March 1).

Thievery Denied
Through the first four games of the season, senior catcher Jeremy Montalbano has caught six runners trying to steal, and picked off another runner at second base. Montalbano is in his first year behind the plate at Tulane, after serving as designated hitter for most of 2016, and having Tommy John surgery following the season. He has caught at least one runner stealing in each game thus far, including three against Army on Feb. 19.

The Green Wave has hit six home runs in the first four games of the season, including four against Southeastern Louisiana on Feb. 21. Hunter Williams leads the way with two home runs - both at SLU - while Jarret DeHart, Hunter Hope, Jake Willsey and Grant Witherspoon each have one homer.
