NEW ORLEANS – Tulane returns home to the friendly confines of Greer Field at Turchin Stadium for an eight-game homestand, beginning this weekend with a three-game series against Big 12 foe West Virginia. Game times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Green Wave enters the weekend at 1-7 on the season, looking for its first win since Feb. 18, while the Mountaineers have a 5-2 record prior to their contest at Nicholls State Thursday night. After spending five games on the road, Tulane welcomes its first long stretch of home games this season.

This will be the first meeting between Tulane and West Virginia.

Hunter Williams has hit safely in seven straight games, and has reached base in all eight contests this season, and Grant Witherspoon has hit safely in four straight games.

Through the first eight games of the season, senior catcher Jeremy Montalbano has caught seven runners trying to steal, and picked off another runner at second base. He has thrown out 50 percent of potential opponent base stealers (7-14).
