Dunleavy, Cornish, Paul Participate in American Athletic Conference Basketball Media Day

PHILADELPHIA – For the third year in a row, the Philadelphia Airport Marriott hosted American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Media Day, as Tulane head coach Mike Dunleavy, Sr., and seniors Jordan Cornish and Blake Paul took part in the event's activities on Monday morning.

Dunleavy and the student-athletes took part in media interviews, photo shoots and taped in-game entertainment pieces with ESPN while rotating through stations.
Dunleavy and the league's other 11 head coaches gathered for a group photo, which was followed by a group shot of all the student-athletes in attendance. After American Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco addressed the room of coaches, student-athletes and media, Dunleavy joined a coaches' roundtable hosted by longtime college basketball reporter Andy Katz along with USF head coach Brian Gregory, Memphis head coach Penny Hardaway and Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson.

With local and conference media days in the rearview mirror, the Green Wave has over three weeks of practices remaining before tipping off the regular season at home Nov. 11 at 6 p.m., against Florida State. Tulane will host Loyola-New Orleans in an exhibition game at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
