Tulane Women’s Golf Sits 11th at the Battle at the Beach

LOS CABOS, Mexico – The Tulane University women's golf team is in 11th place as it heads into the final round of competition at the 2018 Battle of the Beach. The Green Wave carded a second round score of 308 on Saturday and have two-day total of 606.

The three-day event is being held at the par 71, 6,202-yard Club Campestre San Jose Golf Club.
Â
Tulane freshman Isabella Cardenas continues to lead the way for the Green Wave as she shot a second round score of 76. She is currently tied for 25th and has a two-round total of 147.

Cardenas will enter final round play nine strokes behind Auburn's Kaeigh Telfer for the tournament lead. Telfer carded a 69 for the second straight day.

Teammate Jennifer Rosenberg is the next Green Wave individual on the leaderboard as she is tied for 37th. Rosenberg closed round two play by shooting a score of 77 one over par (72). The Tulane sophomore has a tournament total of 149.

Rounding out the Tulane lineup is senior Laura Munoz, Haydyn Gibson and Gabrielle Correia as they are tied for 59th, tied for 66th and tied for 91st, respectively.

No. 23 Auburn holds the overall team lead after two rounds with a score of 565.
