HOUSTON – Sophomores Raymond Kibet, Brandi Hughes and Maya Harewood and juniors Jessica Duckett and Rebekah Markel all nabbed top-three finishes at the Houston Alumni Invitational, as the five Tulane track and field athletes spent the weekend in Houston, Texas.
QUOTE
"This meet provided the five athletes a wonderful opportunity to compete against one of the top programs in the nation in Texas A&M - both men and women - and in the University of Houston, which has also ascended to a very high level. Raymond really answered the call today in the men's 400m race with a season-best time. He really competed well in tough weather conditions, and I'm very pleased that he was able to place and compete as well as he did. It's really a good step forward coming off of the spring break performance at UCLA." -Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Eric Peterson
