CLEARWATER, Fla. – Tulane baseball will play ECU in the second round of the 2018 American Athletic Conference Championship presented by Visit St. Pete/Clearwater at 11:30 a.m. CT Wednesday at Robin Roberts Field.
With its 11-6 win over Houston Tuesday, the Green Wave would have played again on Thursday. However, due to projected inclement weather in the Tampa Bay area this week, all of the games originally slated for Thursday, May 24, have been moved to Wednesday, May 23, putting six games on the Wednesday schedule. Games will run concurrently at 8 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. CT from both Spectrum Field and Robin Roberts Field, which is located in the complex adjacent to Spectrum Field.
The game will be broadcast on the American Digital Network Plus, via Facebook Live, and will can be heard on 88.3 FM WRBH and TuneIn Radio. For Live stats and full championship information and coverage, visit the tournament central page.
SERIES HISTORY
Tulane and East Carolina have played 58 times. Tulane leads the series, 31-27. The Pirates swept the series in New Orleans this season, on May 4-6, and two of three games last season in Greenville. The Green Wave won two of three in 2016 in New Orleans. The Pirates won each series from 2013-15, while the Wave won series each year from 2003-10. The series dates to 2003 when ECU joined Conference USA. The teams have met 10 times in conference tournament play, and those meetings are tied, 5-5.
