
Cellucci and Pellerin Named to Summer Baseball League All-Star Teams

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane sophomore pitchers Brendan Cellucci and Connor Pellerin are having standout summers in their respective summer leagues and will play in their leagues' all-star games.

Cellucci, a member of the Baltimore Redbirds of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, will play in the 2018 CRCBL All-Star game on July 11 at Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, Md. The Wyncote, Pa., native is 2-0 with a 1.95 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 23.0 innings across six appearances and four starts this summer, leading the Redbirds to a 25-9 record and a first-place position in the North division standings.

Pellerin, a member of the Portland Pickles of the West Coast League, will compete in the 2018 WCL All-Star Game on July 17 at Civic Field in Port Angeles. Pellerin, a Baton Rouge native, is 4-1 with a 3.72 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 19.1 innings across six appearances and three starts this summer. He led the Pickles to a 17-9 record and first-half South division title and a spot in the playoffs.
