Walker Earns Second AAC Weekly Honor Roll Selection
Nov 25, 2019 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS - For the second time during the young 2019-20 season, Tulane men's basketball redshirt sophomore guard Jordan Walker has been selected to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll in an announcement by the league office Monday.
The Green Wave are now 3-for-3 having a student-athlete receive the weekly honor, as Walker also garnered the recognition on Nov. 11, before Teshaun Hightower was listed on Nov. 18.
In a 2-1 week for Tulane at the Myrtle Beach Invitational, Walker averaged 11.3 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game and scored in double-figures in all three contests. The Port Washington, N.Y., native recorded 11 points with six assists, three steals and three 3s made against Mississippi State on Thursday, before tallying 11 points and five dimes in Friday's win over Middle Tennessee. He was the difference-maker in Sunday's 65-61 win over Utah, scoring 10 of his 12 points in the second half to complement a career-high seven assists and four steals.
Tulane celebrates Thanksgiving in the midst of a seven-day break before returning home to host Southern University on Sunday, December 1. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m., at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
