Tulane to Begin Final Round Competition on Tuesday at the UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Florida – The Tulane University women's golf team wrapped up second round competition on Monday at the 2019 UCF Challenge with a score of 303 and sit in 15th place after two days.

The Green Wave own a two-day total of 593 as they head into the final round of competition. Â Â

Junior Haydyn Gibson led the way for the Green Wave during day two action as she shot a second round score of two-under-par, 70 and in the process moved 31 spots up the leaderboard.

"Haydyn really had a great day today," head coach Lorne Don said. "I couldn't be more excited for her and the round she put up today."
Â
Gibson's 31-spot leap up the leaderboard was the fourth-best move of the day in the field.
Â
Gibson's second-round 70 tied her career-best round and was a season-best. Gibson leads all Tulane individuals and is tied for 42nd (146).
The three-day event is being held at the par 72, 6,349-yard Eagle Creek Golf Club.

Rounding out the Green Wave's starting lineup was sophomore Jennifer Rosenberg (tied for 45th, 146), Gabrielle Correia (tied for 83rd, 152), senior Laura Munoz (tied for 88th, 153) and freshman Isabella Cardenas (91st, 155).

Vanderbilt leads all teams after it shot a second round score of 277. The Commodores will enter the final round with a two-round total of 560. Miami's Anna Backman leads all individuals with a two-round score of 135.
