FINAL RESULTS
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Tulane University junior women's golfer Jennifer Rosenberg will have to make room for some additional hardware in her trophy case, as she claimed her second amateur crown this offseason by winning the 2019 Long Island Women's Amateur Stroke Play Championship earlier this week.Â
Â
Rosenberg finished the two-round event with a score of six-under-par, 138. The two-round event was being held at Bethpage State Park's Blue Course. The Laurel Hollow, New York, native posted rounds of 70 (round one) and 68 (round two).Â
Â
"I've been putting so much work in everyday and I'm really excited that it's paying off," Rosenberg said. "I've really been trying to score in the red as much as I can and I've also been working on how to control my nerves under pressure. Overall I'm really happy with how I played and I'm excited to start the season at Tulane."
Â
Earlier this summer, Rosenberg captured the 2019 New York State Women's Amateur Championship in a thrilling two-hole playoff at Lancaster Country Club.Â
Â
Rosenberg enters her junior year following an impressive sophomore season where she posted three top 10 finishes, which included a fifth-place performance at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
