Men’s Tennis Sends Squad to Florida, South Carolina

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's tennis team sets out for its second week of fall tournament play on the first of three straight days on Friday, September 17 at the Tops'l Battle at the Beach in Destin, Florida, as well as the Gamecock Fall Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
The Green Wave will send its three nationally-ranked singles players, seniors Ewan Moore (No. 36) and Luis Erlenbusch (No. 61), as well as junior Hamish Stewart (No. 110), to Columbia for their first tournament of the season.
Heading to Destin will be senior Tim Ruetzel, junior Akos Kotorman, redshirt freshman Benji Jacobson and true freshman Henry Lovett. Kotorman will also be making his fall debut, while Ruetzel, Jacobson and Lovett compete for the second straight week following last week's trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
In Columbia, ranked players from Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, ETSU, Fresno State, Liberty, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina, SMU, Tennessee and Wake Forest will join the Green Wave in singles and doubles draws.
The Tops'l Battle at the Beach will be structured as a round robin hidden dual match featuring Tulane, Oklahoma, LSU and Florida State. Teams will have four singles and two doubles lines, respectively, for each match.
