
Tulane Women's Golf Heads to Bettie Lou Evans Invitational

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team will head to the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., on Friday, Sept. 27.
The tournament will begin with one round of play on Friday, starting at 8:20 a.m. from holes one and 10. The second round will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from holes one and 10 and the third and final round will tee off at 9 a.m. Sunday with a shotgun start. Kentucky will serve as the tournament host.
The three-day event will be held at the par 72, 6,114-yard University Club of Kentucky on the Big Blue Course. Tulane will face teams from No. 57 Penn State, No. 61 Kentucky, No. 84 Rutgers, No. 64 Memphis, No. 65 Middle Tennessee State, No. 98 Marshall, No. 109 Eastern Kentucky, No. 117 Western Kentucky, No. 151 Cincinnati, No. 157 Murray State, No. 186 Akron and Division II No. 6 Indianapolis.
The lineup for the Green Wave this week includes freshman Carlota Palacios at No. 1, freshman Hanna Liu at No. 2, junior Jennifer Rosenberg at No. 3, freshman Sandra Vaquez at No. 4 and senior Haydyn Gibson at No. 5.
The last time out, Palacios and Rosenberg led the Green Wave as they tied for 25th at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate in Knoxville, Tenn. Gibson posted the lowest round of the tournament for Tulane at three-under 68 in the first round. Rosenberg added rounds at one-under 70 and even-par 71 to begin the tournament. The Olive and Blue finished ninth as a team.
