BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — The Tulane track and field team recorded two first-place finishes in its second meet of the indoor season at the LSU Purple Tiger, totaling 12 top 10 finishes and one new top-five program record in eight events.
"I am happy to have our team back from the break and am excited about getting back to competition," head coach Eric Peterson said. "Today we saw strong performances from Maren [Butler] in the shot put, from Kyah [Loyd] and Brandi [Hughes] in the hurdles and our 4x400 meter relay team concluded the meet with a nice victory. These athletes will be key to our team's success this season and it was great to see them return from the holiday healthy and fit."
