Burke Signs Bernat to 2025 Class

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane women's golf head coach Stew Burke announced the signing of Carla Bernat for the class of 2025.
"I am delighted to welcome Carla to the Green Wave Family," Burke said. "Carla brings a wealth of competitive playing experience from tournaments across Europe and the USA as a member of the Spanish Girls National Team. Her desire to improve and be part of a team was highlighted throughout the recruiting process. Carla will be a great addition to our roster, and I believe that her signing is a statement about the direction that the program is headed, as we prepare for the spring season with a strong roster ready to compete."
The Castellon, Spain, native was a member of the Spanish Girls National Team at the 2020 European Girls Team Championship. She led the way for the Spaniards in the stroke play at two-under and went undefeated in match play. She has experience playing in the United States, as she placed fourth at the 2020 Junior Orange Bowl in Florida.
Bernat will be the third Tulane golfer to join the Green Wave from Spain along with sophomores Carlota Palacios and Sandra Vazquez as members of the Tulane golf team from Spain.
The Green Wave will return to the course Feb. 8 at the Lamkin Invitational. San Diego State will host the event in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

Bernat comes to Tulane ranked No. 195 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. She has claimed five wins in the World Amateur Golf Ranking Events, including the Campeonato de Espana Amateur Championship at 12-under par.
