
Jordan Earns Fourth Freshman of the Week; Clark Named to Weekly Honor Roll

NEW ORLEANS – Freshman Jerkaila Jordan of the Tulane women's basketball team earned her fourth Freshman of the Week honor, while senior Arsula Clark was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday (Jan. 18).
Jordan tied her career-high with 22 points in the 65-54 win at Tulsa. She also had the best shooting day of her young career going 8-9 from the field and 4-4 from three. Her four made threes at Tulsa were a career best. She added five rebounds and two steals against the Golden Hurricane. The New Orleans native opened the week with 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block against No.16 South Florida.
The freshman guard ranks sixth in the American in points per game with 14.7 and fourth in field goal percentage at .479. She leads the Green Wave in points and assists per game (2.8). Jordan also averages 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
Clark opened the week with 20 points and five rebounds against No. 16 South Florida. She added an assist and a steal against the Bulls. The Miami native followed that performance with nine points and six rebounds in the win at Tulsa. She dished out five assists and swiped one steal in the win over the Golden Hurricane.
The senior guard is ninth in the conference in points per game at 13.5. She adds 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Olive and Blue.
Jordan previously earned Freshman of the Week honors three times (Nov. 30; Dec. 7; Jan. 4). She also earned the conference's Player of the Week award on Dec. 14. Clark joins senior Krystal Freeman (Nov. 30; Dec. 21) and junior Dynah Jones (Jan. 4) as the three Green Wave players to earn a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll this season.
The Green Wave will be back in action as they welcome Houston on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
