
Green Wave Golf Concludes the Fall Season

DENVER – The Green Wave Golf team finished up their fall season at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate on Sunday.  Â
Today marked the third day of the tournament hosted by Denver University in which Tulane finishing tied for 7th place as a team. Â
"The team finished off strong today to move up the leader board" head coach Stew Burke said. "We've worked hard all semester, battled adversity on and off the course and really gotten closer as a team. I'm incredibly proud of the culture we're creating, and I look forward to continuing our improvements over the offseason as we prepare for the Spring."
Junior Sandra Vazquez held the best score of the tournament for the Green Wave shooting one-under par for a card of 71 in the third round. Vazquez also shot 71 in the second round of play and carded 77 in the first round, her total combined score of 219 left her to finish tied for 28th.
Teammates Hannah Rose Bruxvoort and Daozeng Liu both finished tied for 33rd each with a score of 220. Bruxvoort played her best round in the first, carding par at 72, while Liu shot her best in the third round going one-under at 71.
Junior Carlota Palacios played her best round this afternoon after struggling over the first two days. Palacios carded one-under at 71 to finish 50th with a total score of 224.
Rounding out the team score was junior Hanna Liu who finished plus-13 in the tournament with a total card of 229. Liu found herself tied for 61st in the final tournament of the fall season.

The Ron Moore Intercollegiate was the final tournament of the fall season for the Green Wave golf team. Competition will resume in the spring of 2022.
