Women's Tennis Begins Homestand Against Southeastern Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS – Owning a 5-0 record at home this spring, the Tulane women's tennis team plays the first of three straight matches against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, February 20 at noon at the City Park Tennis Center.
SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA
The Lions (1-2) enter Saturday's matching coming off a 7-0 defeat on the road at South Alabama on Feb. 13. Their lone win of the season came in a 6-1 decision at Alcorn State on Jan. 30.
LAST TIME THEY MET – JANUARY 25, 2020
Tulane picked up a convincing 4-0 win over Southeastern Louisiana last spring. The Wave won the doubles point with victories on courts one and two, before collecting three singles wins in straight sets on courts two, three and four, respectively, to complete the shutout.
LAST TIME OUT
Tulane dropped its third match of the season, 7-0, at Mississippi State on Feb. 14.

TULANE IN THE ITA RANKINGS
Green Wave sophomore Mackenzie Clark is ranked No. 108 in the ITA's national singles rankings to begin the season. In doubles, Clark and 2020 ITA All-American Mary Caroline Meredith comprise the nation's No. 54 duo.
THE DOUBLES POINT
The Green Wave are 5-0 this season when winning the doubles point and 0-3 when they do not. Tulane has won all three doubles matches in three of the five instances in which they clinch the first team point.
WELCOME BACK FANS!
In accordance with current city and campus guidelines, Tulane Athletics is pleased to announce the accommodation of a limited number of fans attend Tulane tennis matches at the City Park Tennis Center. Fans are encouraged to bring their own bag chairs for seating. All spectators will be asked to remain six feet away from the courts at all times, respect social distancing rules, avoid gathering and remain six feet away from others. All spectators are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth while inside City Park.
