Tulane Closes First Day of All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Tied for Fifth

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University golf team finished the first day of the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate tied for fifth overall.
Tulane closed the first day with a total score of 308.
Senior Jennifer Rosenberg and sophomore Sandra Vazquez led the Green Wave lineup as they both posted scores of 4-over 78. Freshman Daozeng "Cleo" Liu also posted a 4-over 78 as an individual. All three registered two birdies on the day and will head into Monday's second round tied for 13th.
Junior Isabella Cardenas and sophomore Carlota Palacios closed the day tied for 33rd in Tulane's lineup at 6-over 78. As an individual, freshman Hannah Rose Bruxvoort also tied for 33rd at the same score. Palacios and Bruxvoort logged one birdie apiece on the day.
Sophomore Hanna Liu will head to day two tied for 49, while freshman Miriam Emmert finished day one tied for 73rd.
The Green Wave will tee off at 10:04 tomorrow from the first hole.
