Tulane Closes Day Two of All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in Fifth

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team closed the second day of competition at the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate tied for fifth place.
The Green Wave finished the day with a total score of 307, which gives them a two-day total of 615.
Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the way for the Green Wave today with a 2-over 74. She parred every hole on the course, outside of the par-4 fifth. Palacios closed the day tied for 13th with a total score of 8-over 152.
Junior Isabella Cardenas registered a 5-over 77 in the second round. She had two birdies on the day and will head to tomorrow's final round tied for 28th.
Senior Jennifer Rosenberg posted a 6-over 78 on the day. She had two birdies in the second round giving her four total for the tournament. She will head to the final round tied for 23rd at 10-over 154.
Sophomore Sandra Vazquez shot 6-over 78 in the second round. She will head to the final round tied for 23rd with a total score of 10-over 154.
Freshmen Daozeng "Cleo" Liu and Hannah Rose Bruxvoort competed individually for the Green Wave and shot 5-over 77 in the second round. Liu will head to the final day tied for 18th at 9-over 153. She had three birdies Monday, which gives her a total of five for the tournament.
Bruxvoort finished the day tied for 28th with a total score of 11-over 155. She registered three birdies on the day all coming in consecutive order on holes 4-6. The Charlotte, N.C., native now has four total birdies.
Sophomore Hanna Liu was the third individual for the Olive and Blue today. She will head to the final round tied for 54th and has accumulated three birdies over the first two rounds. Freshman Miriam Emmert closed the day tied for 68th. She logged three birdies in the second round.
Texas State leads all teams headed to the final round at 18-over 594. Texas State's Marine Griffaut and Nebraska's Kate Smith are tied for the lead at 1-over 145.
