Booras Wins No. 150 as Men's Tennis Downs Auburn, 4-3

NEW ORLEANS - Director of tennis and Tulane men's head coach Mark Booras collected his 150th career victory as the 27th-ranked Green Wave defeated No. 39 Auburn, 4-3, Friday afternoon at the City Park Tennis Center.
Tulane (9-5) came up short in a tight battle for the doubles point, despite a 7-6(3) win on court three by Luis Erlenbusch and Benji Jacobson. Auburn (6-10) earned a 6-4 win on court won and hung on for a 7-6(6) win on court three to clinch and take a 1-0 advantage into singles.
The Green Wave were dominant early in singles, as 53rd-ranked Ewan Moore and 40th-ranked Hamish Stewart collected straight-set wins on courts two and one, respectively, to give Tulane a 2-1 lead. Erlenbusch pushed the Tigers to the brink, 3-1, with a three-set win on court three, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(5) over Tad Maclean.
Despite Auburn earning three-set win on court four and trimming its deficit to just one, 3-2, Akos Kotorman rallied back from a lost first set on court six to win the next two, 7-5 and 6-2, to clinch for the Green Wave.
Tulane turns around to host No. 41 LSU on Sunday at 1 p.m.
