
No. 17 Bowling Goes 5-0 On the Second Day of the Rattler Classic

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The 17th-ranked Tulane University bowling team kept its perfect season going with a 5-0 record in traditional play on the second day of the Rattler Classic on Saturday at Strikerz in Pensacola, Fla.
The Green Wave posted a five-game average of 204.68. Tulane topped a thousand points four times on the afternoon.
The program started the day with 1028-830 victory over Texas Southern. The team then defeated Southern University 1046-878 in the second game. The third was a 1035-919 Tulane victory over Emmanuel College. The fourth was closer with the Green Wave earning the 995-990 victory over Florida A&M. The fifth was a 1013–915 victory over Alabama A&M.
Amelia Vasquez had scores of 198, 213, 258, 229 and 167 for a total of 1065 pins on the afternoon. Her pin total and average of 213 is tops in the tournament.
Morgan Gitlitz is ranked sixth overall after posting scores of 183, 202, 190, 197 and 233 for 1014 pins and an average of 201.
Mia Stolakis is placed seventh overall with 997 total pins (226, 198, 209, 206, 158) and a five-game average of 199.4.
Sofiia Druchyna has a healthy average of 201.67 in her two games played (194 and 233) for a total of 427 pins.
Yarelis Alvarez sports an average of 200.5 in her two games played (179 and 222).
Cassidy Williams has totaled 375 pins in her two matches for 187.5 average.
Jenica Baron knocked down 242 pins in her only game played.
Tulane finishes up the tournament on Sunday morning with the best-of-seven baker matches. The Green Wave begin play against Emmanuel College with the winner advancing to the position round. The winner of the position round is crowned the champion.
