
Men's Basketball Returns Home for Monday Night Matchup with ULM

1. The team returns home after going 1-2 in the Cayman Islands Classic in George Town, Cayman Islands. Defeating Rhode Island and dropping two to Nevada and Western Kentucky.

2. The two teams have not faced each other since 1974 when ULM beat Tulane 95-73 in the Pacemaker Classic.

3. Transfer Tre Williams made his first two starts of the season in the Cayman Islands Classic. The junior averaged 30.6 minutes, 9.0 pts, 3.5 assists and shot .500 from the field over the two games.

4. Kevin Cross leads the Green Wave in points per game at 17.2 and rebounds per game at 5.5 through the first six games of the year. That's an improvement through the first six games of the 2021-22 season when Cross was averaging 14.0 points per game and 4.8 rebounds.

5. After six games, Tulane ranks third among AAC teams in scoring offense (78.7) behind ECU (79.3) and Houston (79.2). As a team they hold the second-best field goal percentage at .474. Collin Holloway leads the league in field goal percentage at .630.

1000 – Jaylen Forbes surpassed 1000 career points by making a contested three in the Green Wave's game versus Nevada in the Cayman Islands Classic.

THE OPPONENT – LOUISIANA MONROE
- ULM has dropped its last four games, all of which have been on the road.
- ULM fell to Loyola Maryland in its most recent game. ULM erased a 14-point second-half deficit to take the lead, but Loyola answered for the win. Graduate forward Victor Bafutto, who had his first start as a Warhawk, had a monster day, going for 20 points (8-of-9 field-goal attempts, 4-of-4 free-throw attempts) with eight rebounds and one assist.
- In the loss to Omaha, ULM was led by Thomas Howell's double-double in Friday's loss to Omaha. Howell notched 13 points and a season-high 10 rebounds against the Mavericks while playing a season-best 30 minutes. He also added three assists and one blocked shot.
- Nika Metskhvarishvili was the only ULM member to earn a Sun Belt preseason nod. Metskhvarishvili has missed the teams last two games.
- Eight members of the Warhawk squad are transfers.
