
Men's Basketball Faces George Mason in Legends of Basketball Showcase

STARTING FIVE
1. The Tulane University men's basketball heads to Chicago to participate in the Legends of Basketball Showcase against George Mason. The game will be played inside the United Center. Â The Green Wave is 2-2 in neutral site games so far this season.
2. The two teams have faced each other twice and have split the meetings 1-1. Tulane lost on the road on November 28th 2009, 71-76 and winning at home on December 22nd 2008, 60-52. Â
3. Jalen Cook has averaged 20.8 ppg and six assists per game over the four contests he has competed in this season. He earned his way onto the AAC Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season after his 21 points, eight assist and four rebounds performance versus Buffalo.
4. Jaylen Forbes ranks sixth in the conference in points per game at 17.1, while Kevin Cross ranks eight in the conference averaging 15.9 points per game. Forbes also leads the conference in free throw percentage at .939, while Cross sits in seventh at .842.
5. After nine games, Tulane ranks second among AAC teams in scoring offense at 80.6 . As a team they hold the second-best field goal percentage at .470 and the best free throw percentage at .806. Tulane also leads the league in assist to turnover ratio at 1.74, the next closest team is Cincinnati at 1.36.

THE OPPONENT – GEORGE MASON
• George Mason has not played since December 6, when the Patriots knocked off UMES 67-54 to wrap up a 4-0 homestand. Mason held the Hawks to 33 percent shooting and was +15 (43-28) on the glass.
• Josh Oduro led the Green & Gold with his second double-double in the past three games vs. the Hawks. He notched a season-best 23 points (10-14 FG) and grabbed 12 rebounds.
• Oduro is just seven points away from becoming the 40th 1,000-point scorer in school history. Teammate Victor Bailey Jr. reached the milestone in the win over UMES.
• Point guard Ronald Polite III notched career bests in rebounds (5) and 3pt FG made (3) vs. the Hawks while chipping in 11 points, four assists and two steals. He's averaging 12.5 points and 31.8 minutes over the past four games.
• George Mason is 0-4 in games away from home this season.

LAST TIME OUT - TULANE DOMINATES BUFFALO
• Led by a 21-point and eight assist performance by Jalen Cook, Tulane downed the Buffalo Bulls inside State Farm Arena on Saturday morning. Â
• Jadan Coleman had a career high 19 points going 8-13 from the field. Jaylen Forbes nabbed 13 points and five rebounds, Tylan Pope scored 11 and Sion James dropped 11 points and had seven rebounds.
• Tulane turned the ball over just five times compared to Buffalo's 16, earning 19 points off of turnovers. Tulane also totaled 16 assists and 11 steals on the day.
• Leading the entire game, Tulane was able to silence the Bulls early with lock down defense and a 16-0 run in the first quarter to lead 33-17 with 5:45 left in the half. Forbes would seal the half with a four-point play after getting fouled on a three-point jumper. Giving the Green Wave a 46-29 lead heading into the locker room.
• Holding the lead in the second the team was able to get up by as much as 30 just four minutes into the half, thanks to a two-handed slam by Pope. The largest margin would come at the 3:20 mark when freshman Percy Daniels earned his first points in the Olive and Blue with a layup to put the Wave up 86-50.
