NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane bowling team recently secured a sponsorship deal for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons with Brunswick Bowling Products.
In the signed agreement, the team will be given new equipment including bowling balls, triple tote bags and double tote bags / backpacks annually. The program also will get discounts on the purchase of additional balls, bags, shoes and accessories.
The deal also includes an innovative product incentive program that will allow the team to get additional gear and accessories for winning a USBC College Tier 1 / NCAA Tournament, making the ITC / NCAA National Championship Field, winning a conference championship and winning an ITC / NCAA National Championship.

"Thank you to Roto Grip for your dedication and sponsorship of the Tulane University bowling program for the past few years," said Head Bowling Coach Hayley Veitch. "A lot of thought and conversation went into this decision to change our bowling product company. This opportunity to go in a different direction was a difficult one to pass up. I believe this change will give us more versatility within the different brands under Brunswick. I would like to personally thank our awesome Brunswick representative Tyler Armour and our Volunteer Assistant Coach Norm Spurlock for the assistance in getting this contract started. The coaching staff and the team are excited for this change and having another successful year on the lanes with the new equipment from the partnership."
Tulane's bowling team is currently one of only 22 collegiate squads nationally that have been chosen to represent Brunswick Bowling Products. Among the others in the distinguished company are Arizona State University, Fresno State, Lawrence Tech and UAB.
"We are very excited to have Coach Veitch, Coach Sarah Gill and Tulane University represent Brunswick Bowling Products," explained Brunswick Bowling Products Specialist Tyler Armour. "Coach Veitch and her husband, Justin, do a great job for the bowling community in the area. They help set the team up with a bright future on and off the lanes."
Tulane's bowling team finished the 2022 season ranked No. 19 in RPI and had an overall record of 57-47. The program won the Southwest Intercollegiate Conference Tournament in the fall and qualified for a berth in the Intercollegiate Team Championships in the spring. The Green Wave's Madison McCall named an Honorable Mention All-American by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA). It was the sixth straight year that Tulane has seen a member of its bowling team honored by the NTCA. The program also had seven individuals (Crystal Singh, Veronica Petrinec, Jenica Baron, Amelia Vasquez, Morgan Gitlitz, Yarelis Alvarez and Katharina Mente) honored with places on the 2022 Academic Honor Roll for the Southland Conference. Tulane had two all-conference performers as McCall was Second Team All-Southland Conference, while Mente was chosen for the All-Rookie Team. Additionally in 2022, Baron was chosen as the American Athletic Conference's (AAC) Community Impact Award Recipient. Â
About Brunswick
Brunswick has been a leader in bowling innovation and manufacturing since 1895. From the very beginning, bowling and Brunswick have shared the same path. Brunswick founder John Moses Brunswick played an integral part in the birth of the game by building a company dedicated to taking games like billiards and bowling out of fancy Victorian parlors and into the public arena. Moses Bensinger (married to Eleanora Brunswick, daughter of John Moses Brunswick) had a vision for the modern game of bowling. He standardized rules for the game and organized the first American Bowling Congress (ABC) in 1895, which held the first significant bowling tournament in 1902. The ABC became a prominent fixture in competitive, professional bowling, and is responsible for developing the professional game and global appeal of the sport as it is known today.
Brunswick has contributed directly to the global growth of bowling by opening the first bowling center in Moscow in 1976. It has also established a technological and manufacturing presence that reaches around the globe – from its state-of-the-art research and development facilities in Muskegon, Michigan, to its pinsetter manufacturing plant in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, to its sales and support resources in Hong Kong, China
During the past century, Brunswick's passion for the game has never wavered. Brunswick has always been dedicated to improving both the tenpin game and the experience around it. Brunswick has continually worked to grow bowling on a global scale and has helped to create the $10 billion industry that it is today.
