The Panthers never got a handle on the Green Wave's explosive offense. Tulane drove a quick wedge going up 10-1 in the first set with a seven-point run from Jillian Dits behind the line. The Green Wave never let the score get within seven, ending the set with a 25-11 final score.

The final set was a carbon copy of the second. Tulane managed to grab the lead and hold it until the Panthers beat the Green Wave to 20. Tulane went on to capitalize on a couple of errors from their opponents and added a few good swings for the two-point victory in the third set.
