Bernat, Liu Lead Golf to Fourth Place Finish in Green Wave Classic

FINAL LEADERBOARD
NEW ORLEANS - Shooting 10-under in the tournament, the Tulane golf team finished fourth in the Green Wave Classic at Bayou Oaks at City Park South Course.

LSU, ranked 14th nationally, took the title shooting 32-under for a team total of 832.
Â
Sandra Vazquez led the way for the Green Wave in the third round, shooting a casual 3-under with three birdies through the back nine. Vazquez finished 3-over in the tournament, tied for 40th.

Carla Bernat looked to have the day's best card as she approached her final hole of the round sitting 6-under. Bernat ended up finishing 2-under with six birdies. With the best score of the tournament for Tulane, Bernat finished 6-under in a tie for 11th.

Cleo Liu was solid through each round, shooting just 1-over in the third to finish 5-under, tied for 15th in the tournament.
Â
Shooting even in the third round, Matilde Innocenti finished tied for 27th, while Carlota Palacios rounded out the Tulane lineup tied for 63rd.

Competing as an individual, Miriam Emmert shot 2-under and collected seven birdies in the third round of play. Emmert finished tied for 43rd.
Â
Hanna Liu, Ruhee Pandit and Luna Xu also competed as individuals for Tulane. Pandit finished 6-over, Liu finished 18-over and Xu finished 27 over.

Tulane has a quick turnaround as it heads to Greenville, South Carolina to compete in the Lady Paladin hosted by Furman. Play begins Friday.
